4 Steelers who won’t return in 2022

1. Steelers CB Joe Haden

Joe Haden is the biggest no-brainer candidate on the list. Rumors have swirled for months that Joe Haden would not return, and the bigger question is whether the Steelers would choose not to offer a contract or would they trade him ahead of the trade deadline.

So far no trade seems to be materializing, despite a rumor popping up on October 13th that the Dallas Cowboys were interested in a trade for Haden, so far, there have not been any further reports. It seems that there will be no trade for him unless something suddenly comes up in the next seven days.

So the most likely scenario is that Haden will finish out the season for the Steelers, and Pittsburgh will not re-sign him. Being 32 years old is one of the biggest reasons the Steelers will not offer him another contract, and seems highly unlikely that anyone else offers a contract unless someone loses a key cornerback to injury.

Not only will we not see Haden back on the Steelers in 2022, but he may not be in the NFL either.

So now, let’s look at four Steelers who will return to Pittsburgh in 2022.
