5 Bold predictions for Pittsburgh vs. Cleveland

1. Steelers can’t stop the run

One of the single most disappointing aspects of the Steelers’ defense this season is their run defense. Last year this group was nearly unstoppable, as all running backs struggled to find any space when up against this team. This year is a different story, as while still a good overall defense, there has been a significant regression in terms of stopping the run.

Unfortunately for the Steelers, they are set to face off against one of the best rushing offenses in the league. The Browns’ offensive line is designed around blocking for the run, and the running backs the Browns have are immensely talented. While they will for sure be without Kareem Hunt, Nick Chubb has the potential to return this week. He is arguably the second-best pure runner in the league, and the idea of stopping him this week seems daunting.

Even if he is limited or doesn’t suit up, D’Ernest Johnson proved last week that he can be a capable starter with his impressive performance against the Broncos. Even their gadget receiving back Demetric Felton can be effective on the ground and through the air. No matter what backs the Browns are using, I expect them to find a lot of success on the ground this week.
