Steelers 7th-round pick: Tennessee IOL Cade Mays

Cade Mays is the type of player who gets overlooked but he’s a really solid football player. He’s very versatile and can play all O-line positions. He’s looked very good when playing offensive guard. He shows a good anchor when pass blocking in the interior.

Mays shows good leg drive and mobility in run blocking. He has good hand use. He shows above-average mirroring and kick-slide at OT. Mays played well in limited duty at center. He has significant experience on both sides of the O-line at guard and tackle. Mays could be a good swing sub with starter potential at guard.

Steelers 7th-round pick (comp): Arizona State CB Chase Lucas

Chase Lucas is a four-year starter who took the covid mulligan to return for one more year. He’s is an aggressive man cover back who can compete for the slot. He looks to have the game to play outside, as well. In 46 games Lucas has 171 tackles, 11.0 for a loss, 2.0 sacks, 6 interceptions, and 24 pass deflections. 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.
