5 NFL Head Coaches that could be fired during the 2021 season
3. Vic Fangio, Denver Broncos
Vic Fangio has been the Head Coach of the Denver Broncos for three seasons and it hasn’t been very successful. He has had a decent chunk of time to build somewhat of a relevant team but has not accomplished that task. You can blame management on top of the coaching for that lack of development but usually, that failure falls on the coach’s shoulders.
Fangio has helped assemble a solid defensive unit in Denver that gives some vibes of the Super Bowl 50 team. The issue is this franchise has not been able to find a long-term answer at quarterback. They have gone from starter to starter and none of them have complimented their defense.
Aaron Rodgers was rumored to the Broncos on several occasions and that would help this club if that became reality. It would instantly improve this offense that desperately needs to find a leader at the quarterback spot. Fangio might not reap any of those rewards if ownership decides to move in another direction.
A fresh look at quarterback might bring a fresh look at the Head Coaching position as well. If the Broncos could find an answer at the passer position and Denver sticks with Fangio for another season, then maybe his job would become safe over time.
