History has not been on the Steelers side

Historically, the Pittsburgh Steelers are Sunday’s underdog. According to FootballDb.com, the Bears have won more than seventy-five percent of the matchups. Chicago’s 19-7-1 record is enough to make this week’s game personal. Mike Tomlin has been working on ways to improve since the teams’ last meeting.

Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell were both members of the Steelers the last time the two teams played. The two combined for 208 total yards in their loss to Chicago in 2017. Jordan Howard led the charge for the Bears, finishing the night with 140 yards receiving and two momentum-shifting touchdowns. When the two teams met in 2017, the Steelers had the better record. Losing in overtime taught the players in Pittsburgh to never lose focus again.

Both Brown and Bell have parted ways with the franchise. Now, new faces wait to take part in a battle that dates back to 1934. Najee Harris and Diontae Johnson will be ready to make sure the outcome ends differently this year. Both Johnson and Harris have played an instrumental part in the Steelers’ three-game winning streak. Win number four will be determined by how much the duo can produce.
