Can Steelers Harris take advantage?

On the flip side of things, the Steelers and Najee Harris have to take advantage of a soft Bears run defense. While not the worst in the league, this Bears front has been well-below average so far on the year, and opposing offenses have taken advantage. Harris is on a hot streak right now, and by all means, he should continue to produce this week.

In terms of the running game, the Steelers should allow Harris to get in a healthy number of carries. As long as the score is close and it favors the team, there should be little issue watching Harris churn out 4-5 yards per carry. This will keep the offense on track and consistently moving. Add in his usual dose of check-down catches and Harris should be in store for a huge day.

Frankly put, this style of offense counters what the Bears do for the most part. While their defense is far from bad, their lone strong suit is getting pressure off the edge. If Harris is regularly churning out yards on each drive, it would play not the weakness of the Bears’ defense. Add in some other carries from other backs and the Steelers have the chance to take advantage of this rushing opportunity against the Bears.
