Steelers allow a big play to Goodwin

For the most part, I think that the Steelers match up well with this Bears offense. While rookie Justin Fields has looked fine at times, he is playing like a rookie right now. His decision-making has been off at times, and he has struggled to get into a rhythm. It doesn’t help when his line has been less than great, but the rookie has not been able to do much through the air.

This week shouldn’t be any easier for the Bears offense, but one offensive player to circle on their roster is receiver Marquise Goodwin. The veteran receiver is known for his deep speed, and while he has lost a touch of it with age, he can still burn defenses. The Steelers, on the other hand, have been horrible at covering the deep pass. This is a matchup the Bears can and should exploit.

No, the Bears don’t have a huge week against the Steelers through the air, but they do get their lone score on a 75-yard bomb to Goodwin at the beginning of the fourth quarter. He blows past Joe Haden, who continues to add to his narrative that his athleticism is gone and gives the Bears a spark late. The defense as a whole plays well, but they still struggle to stop the deep pass.
