In this week’s installment, the Still Curtain looks to have another strong round of predictions for the Steelers game against the Bears.
Pittsburgh took care of business against a tough and scrappy Brown’s squad filled with reserves. While one would’ve liked the Steelers to win in a more dominant fashion, it was more important that the black and gold got a much-needed divisional win this year.
Tonight, Pittsburgh will host a struggling Bears unit that has handed the reins over to the super talented rookie QB Justin Fields. While Pittsburgh is on a roll the Bears have yet to find a footing yet this season.
They have to establish an identity on offense around Fields and the Bears defense will be without its centerpiece in Khalil Mack. With that being said, the Steelers will look to take advantage of one of the few matchups this season in which they should be favored heavily.

Week 9 predictions vs. Bears
Kody Duncan: Najee Harris will have over 100+ scrimmage yards against the Bears and the defense will create a key turnover to help secure the win. (Pit 27-17)
Andrew Falce: Steelers come out running the ball and controlling the clock. It isn’t a great game by any means, but the Steelers grind the Bears down with a physical running game. (Pit 23-10)
Eric Hassel: The Steelers will look to keep the winning train on the tracks against the Chicago Bears. After a shaky start, the Steelers offense finds its rhythm to score the last two TDs of the game. (Pit 27-17)
Tommy Jaggi: Mike Tomlin is 0-3 against the Chicago Bears, but the scenario is much different in this game. A primetime matchup at Heinz Field against a rookie quarterback should certainly favor Pittsburgh, and I expect the Steelers to take care of business in Week 9. (Pit 23-13)
Brandon Kring: The Bears are struggling and the Steelers are finding their stride. The defense loves wreaking havoc on rookie QBs and Fields will be tested. (Pit 24-10)
Scott Long: Watt and Heyward make life difficult for the rookie quarterback. The continued defensive pressure forces Fields to turn the ball over a couple of times. (Pit 23-10)
Luke Metrinko: The Steelers will keep Justin Fields in the pocket and allow him to get uncomfortable quickly due to the pass rush. Yes the Bears have a good linebacker core but I expect big things from Najee Harris to show everyone on national television what he’s capable of as long as the offensive line can continue to have decent success. (Pit 27-13)
Ryan Pawloski: This game is going to be close for a while. The Steelers defense is going to be too much for a rookie to handle and that’ll cause the home club to pull away late in this one. (Pit 23-14)
Casey Sadekoski: The Steelers are coming in against rookie quarterback who will have trouble keeping the Bears’ offense on the field due to all the pressure he is likely to face. Pittsburgh also won’t have to worry about Khalil Mack with a foot injury and. 2018 all-pro safety Eddie Jackson is also doubtful this week with a hamstring injury. The Steelers should be able to take advantage of this to take a step forward with the offense this week. (Pit 33-13)
