The Steelers win one that should not have been remotely close, but a win is a win and Mike Tomlin finally beats the Bears.

The Pittsburgh Steelers won a game that should have been over in the first half. The offense looked good early on and so did the defense, which is very promising.

Once again the first two Steelers draft picks played hard and helped the team win one way or another. Here are three players who impressed on Monday night:

Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth

For the second week in a row, the rookie tight end stole the show offensively and guided the Steelers to a victory, showing how much Pittsburgh has missed having an explosive tight end. Pat Freiermuth scored the only two touchdown passes that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw and he ended up with 5 catches for 43 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Freiermuth made another circus-like touchdown catch as he caught the ball with two hands while the defender’s arm was caught in his grasp and getting grabbed. He continues to earn increased playing time with Eric Ebron sidelined with a hamstring injury, and that shouldn’t change when he returns.

After Mondays’ performance, ‘Muth’ has earned the TE1 spot and looks to be finally breaking out. The 2nd-round pick has caught over 80 percent of his targets this season and has 200+ yards with 4 touchdowns. Pat Freiermuth has been a big part of this offense for three straight weeks now and part of that is because he can make the catches downfield and in traffic. His role in the offense will continue to expand for the rest of the season and it is finally relieving to have a tight end that can not only be a catching threat but can also hold his own when blocking for teammates.
