AFC North standings: Steelers look to gain ground in Week 10
The Steelers will look to gain some ground in their division by the time Week 10 of the schedule concludes.
It was another week in the AFC North that once again proved that this division is competitive. Each team is currently above 500 and playing good football at the moment. The Steelers struggled but they ultimately continued their win streak as they beat the Chicago Bears.
The Bengals were just thought of as real AFC contenders just a few weeks ago but they have struggled since. They are sliding down the standings and that continued as they lost to the Cleveland Browns this past weekend. They need some time to regroup as they head into their bye week.
The Ravens and Browns both had big victories as Baltimore starts to separate themselves. They have the best record in the division and seem like the favorites to win at the moment. It is going to be a tightly contested group of teams before a winner is crowned.
Cincinnati Bengals (5-4), Bye Week
The Bengals crawl into their bye week after some bad performances against the New York Jets and the Browns. It was an ugly game this past weekend that saw the hosting Bengals get embarrassed by their competition. The Browns came in and took care of them as their backs were against the wall, winning 41-16.
Cincinnati needs to come back from their bye week recharged and ready to go. They are starting to slide down but their issues could be corrected. This is a young team and they are making sloppy mistakes.
Going back to the basics and doing what worked for them will turn this ship back in the right direction. Rely on the offense to get you points and for the defense to cause turnovers. They are struggling right now but they will come back better than where they left off.
