The Pittsburgh Steelers close victory against the Chicago Bears left fans with some positive and negative takeaways.

Last night on Monday Night Football the Pittsburgh Steelers helped Mike Tomlin record his first victory over the Chicago Bears in a close 29-27 game. For Pittsburgh, it was their fourth-consecutive victory and moved the team to 5-3 and second in the AFC North.

There were a number of positive takeaways in this game for the Steelers, starting with the fact that they won. In addition to that, they were able to rush for over 100 yards in a fourth consecutive game, while also putting 29 points on the board— a good mark for an offense that has struggled.

Even with a season high in points, this game still came down to the wire, as Pittsburgh watched Chicago’s kicker come up short on a 65-yard game-winning field goal attempt. A game this close means that in addition to all the good things the Steelers did well, there was also some bad.

The Bears and the Detroit Lions, who Pittsburgh plays next week, don’t compare to the teams they will face down the stretch of their season. They will play much superior opponents, so this game can be used as a growing opportunity. The Steelers can build off what they did well and must quickly correct what went wrong on Monday.

So let’s take a look at the best and worst thing from Pittsburgh’s Monday Night victory of the Bears.
