Muuuuuuth

Pat Freiermuth had a career game very early in his career on Monday night and is quickly cementing his place as the heir apparent to Heath Miller. With his two touchdown receptions, Pat Freiermuth becomes the 9th Steelers tight end to have two touchdown receptions in one game. The only Steelers’ tight end who had more in one game was Eric Green in a 34-17 win over Denver 10/14/1990. He is also the first tight end to have a touchdown reception against the Bears since Matt Spaeth in 2009. And only the third Steelers’ tight-end since 1986. He is also the first tight end to have at least one touchdown reception in a victory over the Bears since 9/28/1980.

Cam’s Big Night

Cam Heyward is certainly one of the top ten defensive lineman in Steelers’ history. With that, he rose to the occasion again. Cam Heyward intercepted a Justin Fields pass in the first quarter. It’s his second in two seasons, and he was the last Steelers’ defensive lineman to record a pick on 9/14/2020. The last time a defensive lineman besides Cam Heyward intercepted a pass was Stephon Tuitt in a 2015 victory over the Bengals.

Dwight White is the only Steelers’ defensive lineman to record more than one interception in a game, and he performed the feat twice once in 1973 and again in 1977.
