6 Steelers whose stock is crashing entering Week 10

The Pittsburgh Steelers had some key performers on Monday Night Football, but these six players have crashing stock after abysmal performances in Week 9.
Mike Tomlin’s team was able to squeak out a win on Monday Night Football — his first against the Bears since taking the Steelers head coaching job. However, Pittsburgh was awarded no style points for their collective performance.
While a few individual players chipped in huge games, there were many on the team who could have played much better in the Steelers controversial 29-27 victory. Here are six Steelers whose stock is crashing after awful performances in Week 9:
Steelers DB Arthur Maulet
Here’s a player that fans were starting to warm up to. Most didn’t believe that Arthur Maulet was going to make the final roster for this team in 2021, but halfway through the season, Maulet found himself playing significant snaps on Pittsburgh’s defense.
Unfortunately, the results were almost unbearable in his most recent contest. Against the Bears, the veteran defensive back was responsible for giving up a number of big plays down the field late in the game as well as surrendering a touchdown catch that helped Justin Fields and company mount a comeback and eventually take the lead over the Steelers.
Maulet has been consistent this season when playing near the line of scrimmage, but the Great Value Brand version of Mike Hilton is far more detrimental when asked to cover down the field, and he was exposed in Week 9. Maulet will likely get a chance to redeem himself next week, but he’s got to be on thin ice.
