Steelers C Kendrick Green

As bad as Dan Moore has looked at times, Kendrick Green has arguably been even worse. These two rookies are remarkable athletes, but so far, it’s looking like the NFL game is too big for them — at least at this point in time.

Though Green had a few nice blocks where he was able to get to the second level, he was manhandled at the point of attack far too often. This usually happened when the Steelers were trying to pick up a crucial 3rd and short or 4th and short.

At 6’1 7/8” and 305 pounds, Green is remarkably undersized — even at the center position — and we just have to hope that he can turn things around soon. The athletic rookie is bullied by bigger defensive tackles, and anchoring is an issue I saw coming a mile away.

It’s important to remember that Kendrick Green is still very young, and we can’t demand perfection right away. However, with spending respectable draft capital on him this past April, we are hoping to see Green start producing results soon.
