The Steelers have been winning as of late, but they have a tough schedule ahead of them to close out the season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have seemed to find a stride after their slow start to the season. They are currently 5-3 and have won four games in a row. The defense is playing great, and the offense is steadily improving, so what all can be expected from this Pittsburgh team?

While the last few weeks have been great, fans may want to pump the breaks. The Steelers have been doing a good job beating the teams they should beat, and that’s what you want from teams. Now, the road gets a lot tougher for Pittsburgh.

The back half of the schedule for the Steelers is going to be a brutal stretch of games. Following the bye week, I predicted that Pittsburgh extends its winning streak through the Detroit Lions game. After reaching 6-3, I predicted that they would finish the season with eight straight losses. This may be a pessimistic outlook, but it’s hard to favor the Steelers over any of the remaining teams.

Fortunately for Pittsburgh, my prediction means nothing, and neither do the odds— the play of the teams on game day will determine who wins. If the Steelers want to have a successful season, they are going to have to beat the odds.

Let’s define a successful season as finishing with a winning record. Mike Tomlin, as head coach, has never had a losing record, and with the new 17 game schedule, finishing even would necessitate a rare draw. So what are the three most winnable games left for Pittsburgh, that they can steal to finish 9-8, opposed to my previously predicted 6-11? Let’s take a look.
