2. Steelers @ Vikings – Dec. 9

It seems like these pivotal games for Pittsburgh are all in primetime, as the Steelers kick off Week 14 against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football. The Vikings are currently 3-5 and performing as inconsistent as ever.

Inconsistency has become the norm in Minnesota; they are a talented team, but it’s not always reflected in how they play. On the year, they have lost close games to the Bengals, Cardinals, Browns, and Cowboys, but have won close games against the Seahawks, Lions, and Panthers.

It’s never quite clear what team will show up for the Vikings, but the Steelers are hoping it’s the inferior version come Week 14. Minnesota finds a way to stay in games and whether they win or lose is a coin flip. When Pittsburgh visits, they have to do everything possible to make sure that the coin lands in their favor.

If the Steelers really want to have a productive season, they have to be able to put away inconsistent teams like the Vikings. This Thursday night matchup is a game Pittsburgh must win in the tough run of their schedule.
