The Steelers will look to keep their winning streak alive, so here are five bold predictions for their week 10 game against the Lions.

The Steelers are set to face off against one of, if not the, worst teams in the NFL this week in the Lions. While the team is heavily favored in this game, the age-old “any given Sunday” has to be remembered as upsets haven’t been uncommon this season.

If the Steelers want to retake the top of the AFC North, they will have to play some top-level football against the Lions. Here are five bold predictions for their game.

Steelers allow a big play early

The Lions have one of the stalest offenses in the league right now. They can’t run the ball efficiently and their passing game is severely limited by their quarterback play. By all accounts, the Steelers defense should walk right over this offense, but one player scares me. While T.J. Hockenson and D’Andre Swift will both get their targets, Kalif Raymond has the big-play threat that has hurt the secondary regularly in 2021.

The same thing happens this week, as early in the first quarter, Raymond finds himself lined up one-on-one with Joe Haden. While the veteran cornerback is savvy in coverage, he doesn’t have the athleticism to keep up. Raymond blows past him and is wide open for an early 65-yard score to put the Lions up. Once again, we see that the Steelers secondary is lacking the speed to be an effective unit as Raymond burns them.
