Week 17: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns

Divisional matchups have the potential to change playoff seedings at the last second. This week seventeen AFC divisional meetings will hold the same power. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns will mark this game as a chance to stay alive in the playoff hunt. Both teams will have everything to lose on the line, which makes this game a must-win.

Pittsburgh’s 15-10 road win against the Browns earlier this season will help Mike Tomlin and his crew maintain a piece of momentum. Performances by Najee Harris, Ben Roethlisberger, and T.J Watt kept the chances of winning out of the hands of Kevin Stefanski and his coaching staff. Mike Tomlin and matt Canada relied on their ground attack which granted Keith Butler more opportunities to be aggressive on the defensive. The blend of defensive and offensive play calling awarded the Steelers with the first of two possible wins in the teams’ season series.

Competing against a rival team can be difficult, especially when your team has not been playing up to par. Pittsburgh’s most recent performances have made fans question if their squad could muster up enough strength to put an end to their conference foes. Head Coach Mike Tomlin has proven multiple times throughout his career that he can lead the men of Pittsburgh to victories in difficult times. Members of the Steeler Nation will be looking forward to seeing the leadership of their coach as the season comes to an end.

If the Steelers use these next few weeks to refocus, they will have a better shot at qualifying for the next phase of American Football. Victories against divisional rivals could award Pittsburgh tie-breaker advantages that would help in playoff seeding. These crucial games will give the Pittsburgh Steelers their best shot at making something happen this postseason.
