Steelers DT Chris Wormley

Chris Wormley had his best game as a Steeler at the right time. The former Baltimore Raven tallied 2.5 sacks, 5 tackles, 2 TFLs, and 3 QB hits against his former team. Wormley and a 2021 7th was traded to the Steelers after the 2019 season and was traded for a 2021 5th-round pick, the 7th-round pick was used to draft Pressley Harvin III.

Wormley isn’t a flashy player who gets big numbers most games, but he is a great rotational piece when the Steelers are healthy and makes a good starter as well. He is a smart player who doesn’t commit stupid penalties or lets anything get in his head. Wormley has drastically improved from his first year as a Steeler in 2020. Not only are all of his stats much better, but he has made 10 more starts and has played fewer games than last year.

When he arrived in Pittsburgh, it was reported that Chris was told by coach Mike Tomlin that “When a team trades you within the division, they’re telling you what they think of you.” Chris Wormley has capitalized off of the opportunities he’s received this year and is proving to Baltimore that they let a hard-working and good player go to a divisional rival, and Steeler fans should give a big ole thanks to them.
