5 bold predictions for Steelers in Week 11 vs. the Vikings
By Andrew Falce
After coming off a close win in week 13, here are four bold predictions for the Steelers’ week 14 matchup with the Vikings.
The Steelers easily had their most heart-pounding game last week as they went back and forth with the Ravens until finally winning by just one point. This week, the team squares off against a talented but underperforming Vikings team who just gave the Lions their first win of the season. While their record is mediocre, this team does have some impressive talent.
Here are five bold predictions for the Steelers’ week 14 game against the Vikings.
Steelers can’t stop Cousins
While he has never ascended into an elite quarterback, Kirk Cousins has proven to be an efficient player when the right team is around him. As of now, he is easily playing some of the best football of his career, as he is throwing all over defenses and is limiting his turnovers. He has 25 scores to just 3 interceptions at this point, and he has benefited from throwing to the Vikings pair of talented receivers and playing behind a good offensive line.
While the Steelers’ secondary showed up in a major way last week and played well, I don’t think they find the same success against Cousins. The veteran will be without Adam Thielen to throw to, but he should still have plenty of options to target. While Cousins won’t post elite numbers, I don’t this defense phases him much. Two-three scores and no interceptions continue Cousins’ hot streak that he is on this year.
