This week, the Steelers take on the Vikings for a Thursday night matchup, but Pittsburgh would be in much better shape if they had these Minnesota players.
The Pittsburgh Steelers need some areas fixed and these players that will be listed can do that. The Vikings have some positions locked up for the future and that’s where some of these players will be coming from.
There are other players on this team that are amazing talents but won’t have a place with the organization anytime soon. Still, here are three players that Steelers fans would be very happy with if they were on their way to Pittsburgh:
Steelers would love to have WR Justin Jefferson
You could argue that the Steelers don’t need a receiver like Justin Jefferson because they currently have quality depth at the position, but you might want to reconsider. With JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Washington having expiring contracts after the 2021 season and Chase Claypool seeming to be having a sophomore slump, Justin Jefferson would pair very well with Diontae Johnson and the rest of the offense.
Jefferson has had a very underrated season this year. He hasn’t been talked about like last season and he has better than or almost better than stats from last year and is on track to surpass the 1,400-yard mark which he hit last year.
The 2020 Pro Bowler has had big yardage games like he did last year and despite being not postered everywhere, he is having a better season and so far is very consistent with his numbers and performance. Jefferson is similar to Diontae in the body style department and both have speed and can run routes quite smoothly. Justin Jefferson would help further complete the Steelers’ offense and all that would be needed is a QB and some offensive line upgrades, but Jefferson would fit right into the Steelers’ receiving core.
