The Steelers have to find a way to get these four young players more time on the field moving forward if they want to properly assess what they have in them.

The Steelers have seen a slew of young players step up and play well this season. The rookie class is playing an unprecedented number of snaps and core offensive and defensive players are for the most part in their early-mid-twenties. That said, way down on the depth chart the team has a few gems that need to get more snaps.

Here are four young Steelers that the team has to find a way to play more moving forward.

Steelers John Leglue

A name not many were aware of before the game against the Ravens, John Leglue did more than enough to cement himself as a fan favorite moving forward. Called up from the practice squad, Leglue was forced into action at guard when B.J. Finney went down with an injury. He responded well and had an incredible first game for the team, consistently making key blocks and earning an impressive 68.8 PFF grade.

With the short week coming up, I would expect Leglue to get the callup once again and he should be the favorite to start at guard. If he shows up well once again, the team has to keep him on the active roster moving forward. The interior of this line is full of questions, and if Leglue can hold his own as a potential starter and at worst a versatile backup, it will be a huge get for the Steelers. He looked great in his first-ever game and is well-deserving of the start this week.
