Can the Steelers stop the Titans pass rush?

One of the Titans’ key issues last year was their lack of pressure on the defense. That has seemingly changed so far in 2021, as the Titans boast one of the better sack numbers from a defensive unit. The entire defense has 32 total sacks on the year so far. The headlining acts are Harold Landry and Jeffery Simmons, and Denico Autry, as they have recorded 11, 7.5, and 6 sacks respectively.

A name to look out for is a familiar one, as Olasunkanmi Adeniyi has been a great depth signing for the Titans. While he only has 2.5 total sacks, he has been a steady reserve that has made the most out of his snaps when subbing in for a starter. He has outpaced Bud Dupree so far, and it looks like the Steelers may have given up on him too soon.

This unit goes up against a line that has seen some improvement over the past few weeks but has also benefited from an extremely weak pass rush in that span. That changes this week, and the Steelers will have to find a way to counter that. T

his offense has had more than enough issues moving the ball. If they are getting set back by sacks each week, it will further hinder this group. The team has to be ready to counter the Titans pass rush.
