The Pittsburgh Steelers will be looking to land a few players during the offseason to help improve the team.

The NFL offseason is a time for improvement. It’s a period when teams must access the gaps in their roster and try to fill them either by draft, trade, or free agency. This coming offseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be focused on improving their roster, primarily the offensive side of the ball.

Over the last two seasons, a sizeable gap has developed between the production of the Steelers’ defense and offense. While the defense has emerged as one the best in the league, the offense has struggled. As the offseason approaches, the offensive side of the ball has to be a point of emphasis in any acquisitions Pittsburgh makes.

Fortunately for the Steelers, there will be several players that they can add to the team from receivers to offensive linemen. Whether it is in the draft or free agency, Pittsburgh will have avenues to create a better offense.

Here are 3 players who could improve the Steelers offense in 2022:

1. Cam Robinson could help Steelers offensive line

It’s no secret that Pittsburgh’s offensive line has been a weak point for the franchise over the last couple of seasons. The marginal improvements that have been made are not enough to stop the team from seeking upgrades, so expect a pursuit of offensive lineman during the offseason.

One player the Steelers could target is left tackle, Cam Robinson. The fifth-year veteran has played his entire career with the Jacksonville Jaguars and is currently playing in the franchise tag. After the season he will enter free agency and likely have a lot of suitors.

According to PFF, Robinson only allowed five sacks in 2020 and has yet to give up any in 2021. His presence has been of great service to Jaguars rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence, and the Steeler’s can use him for similar reasons. Pittsburgh will soon be in the market for a new quarterback and nothing is more important than protecting them.
