The 2021 season has been a roller coaster for the team and its fans.

With one of the hardest remaining schedules to finish out the season, the playoffs look bleak and it’s time to start thinking about how this roster can improve for the 2022 season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a long list for Santa this year. With so many holes on both the offense and defense, it’s time to stop thinking about if the team can make the playoffs and start thinking about how to rebuild on both sides of the ball.

Here is my Christmas wish list of 3 players I’d like to see on the Steelers for next season.

Right Guard- Brandon Scherff, Washington Football Team

Soon to be free agent right guard Brandon Scherff is the first to be on the Christmas list for the Pittsburgh Steelers for next season. Scherff has been one of the best at his position all year and with the Steelers having one of the worst offensive lines in 2021, this should be a guy they target during the off-season.

The former Iowa Hawkeye stands at 6’5″ and weighs 315 pounds. He has allowed 0 sacks, 1 hit, and only 15 total pressures on the quarterback through 14 games. He has played a total of 575 snaps and only has 6 penalties this season. This is the kind of veteran presence the Steelers need for this young and inexperienced offensive line.

Adding him to the team should be the first priority during the off-season. Add him and draft some more talented players for this line and we should have a more stable and balanced offense next season. If Ben Roethlisberger returns or if the Steelers draft a young rookie quarterback, this will be a must sign for next year.
