Quarterback- Kenny Pickett, University of Pittsburgh

Everyone knows by now how much I want Kenny Pickett on the Pittsburgh Steelers next year. That is why it should be no surprise that he comes in at the second spot on the Steelers Christmas wish list. The Heisman finalist dominated in his final year at Pitt and should be a 1st round selection in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Pickett not only helped his team to a 10-2 record and an ACC championship, but he also brought them to the Peach Bowl. In 13 games this year, he threw for 4319 yards with 42 touchdown passes to only 7 interceptions. He was one of the most accurate deep ball passers in all of college football and could also use his legs when needed. He finished the regular season with a 165.3 quarterback rating with a 67.2% completion percentage.

As a runner, Pickett was just as efficient. He finished the season with 98 rushes for 233 yards and 5 touchdowns. How can anyone forget his fake slide 58-yard touchdown run in the ACC championship game as well? I believe regardless of whether Ben Roethlisberger comes back for another season or not, the Steelers need to draft Pickett if he is available during their selection. He has proven to be a quarterback to take a chance on and Kevin Colbert should have him on his Christmas wish list too.
