Steelers offense flows through Harris

While the Steelers’ defense has a tall task this week in stopping the Chiefs’ offense, their own offense has to find a way to move the ball. It has been a mediocre showing the past few weeks, as the team only musters drives once or twice a game seemingly. This has led to a lack of points and a general struggle to put up points. Against a dynamic Chiefs offense, this will have to change.

Unfortunately for the Steelers, the Chiefs have one of the better secondaries in the league. While they have given up a lot of passing yards, much of that can be attributed to teams having to abandon the run and throw to catch up. The team can’t get to that point, and in all honesty, the offense has to flow through Najee Harris this week, something that the team has failed to do in recent weeks.

This doesn’t mean that the offense has to only run the ball, but the Steelers should look to establish the run early and play more of a ball-control style in week 16. Trying to win a shootout with the Chiefs is nearly impossible, and with the current state of the Steelers’ offense, it would get ugly fast. Harris has to be the key focus of the offense this week. This is why you drafted him in the first round, to control big games like this.
