3. Steelers should pursue Allen Robinson II

Although who will be playing quarterback for the Steelers in 2022 is a question mark, it’s certain that they could use a talented pass catcher. With JuJu Smith-Schuster’s future in question, the only receivers Pittsburgh can expect back are Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool— neither of them has proven to be a No. 1 receiver yet.

Allen Robinson however, has proven that he can be a team’s top receiver. In four seasons with Jacksonville and four with Chicago, Robinson has been able to showcase his skills without the help of consistent quality quarterback play.

During the 2021 offseason, Robinson and the Bears were unable to negotiate an extension and it resulted in Robinson playing this season on the franchise tag. All signs point to Robinson’s time with Chicago coming to an end.

His asking price will probably be somewhere around $15 million and the Steelers are in position to meet that. The addition of Robinson will be a huge step in getting Pittsburgh’s offense back productive.
