The Steelers played atrocious football against the Kansas City Chiefs and suffered a loss as a result. Here’s what we learned.

Frankly, I don’t know where to start with this discussion regarding how poorly the Steelers played against the Kansas City Chiefs.  We played disgracefully bad on both sides of the ball.  There’s no other way to put it.  We looked like we were disinterested from start to finish.

There were so many things that went wrong on both sides of the ball that I honestly don’t know that we have enough time to discuss everything.  We were thoroughly beaten from the ‘get go’ and that is really what’s more frustrating than anything else.

Let’s see what we learned from the loss against the Chiefs.

The Steelers offensive scheme is a complete travesty

Look, I don’t know how else to put it.  The Steelers offensive scheme is a complete travesty.  Not only is it a complete travesty, but we could be faced with the reality that the current scheme will be the scheme going forward.

Personally, I think that Mike Tomlin has to end this experiment post-haste, but with two games left in the regular season, I don’t see us making a change at this point, although, frankly, we should and we need to.

According to ESPN, the offense gained three hundred and three yards, which isn’t terrible; however, we only scored ten points.  Yes, there was a missed FG early in the game, but it just seemed to me that the offense was playing with no sense of urgency.

We were seemingly always behind the chains, as it were, and the play-calling was about as unimaginative as it could get.  I have regrettably come to the conclusion that we are incapable of throwing anything other than a ‘tunnel screen’ or a ‘go’ route.  That ain’t gonna get it done.

Let’s see what else we learned.
