2. Steelers must be aggressive in free agency

In addition to the offensive line, Pittsburgh has several questions about the roster that can be answered during the 2022 free agency. Allen Robinson, Chris Godwin, Davante Adams, Stephon Gilmore, and Akiem Hicks are just some of the names who will be on the market.

Plenty of the names will be able to help the Steelers, and while some may be out of reach, others will be very attainable. Pittsburgh must aggressively pursue free agents as it works to fill out the holes on the roster. With reasonable cap space over the next few seasons, they have the means to land quality names that can help them in the new era of Steelers football.

When the New England Patriots had to move on from their own legendary quarterback, they spent $163 million in the 2021 free agency to aid the rebuilding process. Pittsburgh can follow suit and splurge on a number of veterans that will help them dominate the coming years.
