Steelers should add Hill

Much has been said about the state of the Steelers defensive line this season. What was once seen as the deepest position on this team quickly became a shallow one after injuries to various players. While Tyson Alualu has been great on the field when healthy, his age and the team rebuilding may lead to his release this offseason. That means nose tackle will be a big need once again.

A name that makes a lot of sense is current Bengals defensive tackle B.J. Hill. Traded from the Giants this season, Hill has put together one of his best seasons since his rookie year. He has been a force as both a run and pass disrupter, putting together an impressive 5.5 sacks despite only playing on 45 percent of the defensive snaps. Add in his run-stopping ability and Hill would be a great addition to a depleted line.

Add in the fact the Steelers had serious interest in Hill coming out of college and his age and he makes a lot of sense for a team needing new line help next season. He can be a plug-and-play nose tackle and also contribute as a defensive end in sub-packages. Hill has been an absolute force this season, and he would be a great addition to a team in need of more depth and talent along their line.
