5 AFC North players Steelers need to add in 2022 offseason

Steelers should add Huntley
The Steelers quarterback situation will be one in flux next season as Ben Roethlisberger is set to retire. The team will be looking for its next starting quarterback, and considering the team has stressed a mobile quarterback, the next addition there will need to be able to move in space. While not the most conventional quarterback, the Ravens Tyler Huntley could be a great fit for a new-look Steelers offense.
Huntley has been impressive in place of Lamar Jackson this season so far. He has been able to do everything, from connecting on short and deep passes to making plays on the ground. For a Steelers offense that will be focused on running the ball, Huntley would fit in well. He doesn’t have an elite arm, but he flashed the ability to make deep passes when needed. His age also makes him appealing, as he is still young enough to develop into a better passer.
The biggest issue with Huntley is how the team will have to acquire him. He will likely be signed as an exclusive right’s free agent, meaning the Ravens will be getting Huntley back on an extremely cheap deal. That means the Steelers would have to acquire Huntley in a trade. Assuming the Ravens would take a mid-round pick though, Huntley could be a great fit for this offense. He is an unconventional player, but one that could play well if given the chance.
The Steelers will be a team rebuilding next season, and there are quite a few familiar faces that would make this team better. The AFC North is rich in talent this season, so poaching a few names would make a lot of sense. Here are five familiar AFC North players that would look great with the Steelers in 2022.
