New Orleans Saints

Don’t waste your time trying to convince me that Taysom Hill is an NFL quarterback. That ship has sailed. Though Hill has a guaranteed cap number of $10.1 million in 2022, that’s not going to stop the Saints from looking for a better option at the quarterback position.

In seven starts this season, Hill has earned just 2 touchdowns to go with 5 interceptions and has completed just 55.7 percent of his passes for an embarrassingly low 61.7 passer rating. Meanwhile, Jameis Winston is an unrestricted free agent in 2022, and Trevor Siemian is no more than a serviceable backup.

New Orleans is certainly going to be in the market for a quarterback. While they would probably like to have a fresh start, Roethlisberger has shown that he can do enough to manage the game until Sean Payton finds his next franchise guy.

With a team that didn’t rank particularly well at anything in 2021, the Pittsburgh Steelers still found a way to be competitive. Perhaps the Saints feel like Big Ben do just enough to give them a shot at the playoffs in 2022.
