Even with the playoffs essentially out of reach, here are three things all Pittsburgh Steelers fans should be rooting for against the Browns on Monday Night Football.

Steelers fans were able to kick up their feet on Sunday without the pressure of suffering another embarrassing loss. Unfortunately, there was a lot on the line when it came to other games on the NFL schedule, and things didn’t shape up very well when it came to AFC matchups in Week 17.

With a Bengals win over the Chiefs, Cincinnati has officially won the AFC North, and Pittsburgh’s playoff chances plummeted all the way down to just a 2 percent chance of making the tournament, according to FiveThirtyEight.

Regardless of whether or not we get our foot in the door for the postseason, here are three things all Steelers fans should be rooting for tonight against the Cleveland Browns:

A dominant performance by Ben Roethlisberger

We love to see the Steelers trounce the Browns any opportunity we get. However, this game already has a very significant meaning that you are probably already aware of. All signs seem to be pointing that this will be Ben Roethlisberger’s final home game with Pittsburgh, based on remarks he made during a media session. the 39-year-old quarterback has asked family and former players to attend.

What better way for Big Ben to go out than with one last dominant performance in front of a home crowd at Heinz Field with Terrible Towels swirling. The Browns will be without three players in their secondary tonight, and Roethlisberger could seize the opportunity to have a big showing through the air if his protection holds up long enough.

Ben Roethlisberger will be greatly missed by Steelers Nation, and we would love to see him have a great performance for the team and city that he gave 18 years of his life to.
