The Pittsburgh Steelers snuck into the playoffs as the final seed in the AFC. Here are their odds and prediction vs Chiefs in the Wild Card round.

Fans around the nation are no doubt still in awe of the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to get into the playoffs. Prior to the season finale, their chances were remarkably slim as they relied on a rare Jaguars win to boost them into the tournament.

Unfortunately, Mike Tomlin’s team gets the most daunting matchup in playoffs as his team travels to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are 9-1 in their last 10 games, and the last time they faced Pittsburgh, the Steelers were trounced in a 36-10 beatdown.

The team will be counting on a great defensive performance and a strong showing from Ben Roethlisberger to stand a chance in this one.

Steelers vs Chiefs Odds for Wild Card round

The Wild Card round betting odds on WynnBET have the Steelers as 13.0-point underdogs to begin the week. This is the largest spread of any game in the playoffs. Pittsburgh has a moneyline of +500 while the Chiefs are favorites at -700. The over/under point total for this game is set at 46.5.

Steelers vs Chiefs Prediction Wild Card round

I was hoping to see the Steelers fare much better the last time these two teams played in Week 16. However, Pittsburgh failed to even keep this game within three scores. After getting blown out, I’m hoping Mike Tomlin makes some major adjustments, but there’s only so much you can do when you’re grossly outmatched in terms of talent on offense.

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have scored a whopping 35.4 points per game over their final five contests of the regular season. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh scored just 19.8 points per game over this span and had just one 30-point game in the entire 2021 season.

The Steelers will need to hold the Chiefs under 30 to even give themselves a shot in this one, but we don’t see the offense doing enough to compete with one of the hottest teams in the NFL. We have Pittsburgh losing in the Wild Card round with a final score of 29-17.
