Kanas City Chiefs

In addition to the Ravens, the Kansas City Chiefs were one of the teams that reportedly went after JuJu Smith-Schuster during the 2021 offseason. When he decided to go back to Pittsburgh, the Chiefs experimented with Josh Gordon, but he saw a very limited role and managed just 5 catches and 32 yards during 12 games this season.

Everybody knows the Chiefs have two elite receiving options in Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. Outside of these two, Mecole Hardman and Bryon Pringle are probably more of a product of great quarterback play with little attention than anything else.

Adding Smith-Schuster would give the Chiefs a receiver who could work in space from the slot or on the outside as the ‘Z’. He would add another quality weapon to their already talented offense.

Kansas City is already one of the best teams in the league and they don’t have a lot of pressing needs. With roughly $27.3 million in spending money, according to Over the Cap, this is a move I can see them trying to make again in 2022.
