The Steelers win

Yup, this is a simple, homer statement, but everything is pointing towards a Steelers loss this week. The Chiefs mopped the floor with this team just a few weeks ago, and not much has changed except Kansas City has their star-tight end back. While the Steelers’ offense and defense have played slightly better, they are still riddled with the same issues they had in week 16.

That is exactly why the Steelers have a shot this week. When all seems lost, this team will likely come out and put out their best football. Add in some trickery and creative calls (because there is literally nothing to lose) and the team may be able to shock the league. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are likely content to watch the film from week 16 and find the holes that they want to attack.

Would I be shocked if the Steelers lose this game? Obviously not, as the odds of Pittsburgh getting blown out are probably as high as the odds of this team actually winning. That all said, this game seems like it is one that this team will win. Call it a homer feeling or just blind fandom, but I like the Steelers’ odds to keep this game close and potentially pull the upset.
