Playmaking ability is something that the Steelers will be looking for in their next starting quarterback. Extending plays with his legs have been a talent that Ben Roethlisberger has used in the Steelers’ most pivotal moments. Will Levis has a similar skill set.

His one hundred and seven rushing attempts during the 2021 season kept opposing defenses on their toes. Mark Stoops and Kentucky Wildcats followed their courageous quarterback to the VRBO Citrus Bowl. A Two hundred- and thirty-three-yards passing performance helped the wildcats defeat the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Decision-making has been a cause for concern of scouts who analyze Levis’ play. His fifteen interceptions last season made it hard to praise his twenty-four touchdowns. Making the right read is teachable to any quarterback who has the confidence to continue to play. His sixty-six-completion percentage attests to his willingness to put balls in tight windows.

If Matt Canada could find a way to work with Wil Levy’s skillset, the Steelers offense would benefit tremendously. In situations where the play needed a few more seconds to develop, Levy could give the Steelers elements of the young Big Ben.
