The Pittsburgh Steelers have their brass present for the 2022 Senior Bowl. Here are four impressive performers who should be on their radar in the NFL Draft.

The Senior Bowl is a terrific opportunity for future NFL players to showcase their skills in front of coaches, general managers, and scouts of every NFL team. Typically, those players who can dominate the best of the best that college football has to offer end up being good players in the pros.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have had their brass on hand all week during the Senior Bowl. Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert have gotten the opportunity to scope out these prospects firsthand. Some will no doubt be in consideration early in the 2022 NFL Draft, but these four standout performers at the Senior Bowl should be high on their radar this April:

1. Steelers should consider QB Malik Willis

I know some fans are going to be opposed to this, as Malik Willis didn’t quite have the season we were hoping for in 2021. In only his second year as a starter in college football, Willis made some poor decisions with the ball and had twice as many interceptions in 2021 as he did in 2020.

Still, it’s really hard to watch the Senior Bowl tape and not see how much better his traits are than the rest of the group. While the QB group as a whole has been unspectacular at the Senior Bowl, Willis has been the biggest bright spot and he has traits that could easily translate at the next level.

During Senior Bowl practices, Willis has had some really impressive throws and has shown that he can keep his eyes downfield while on the move. Assuming that he finishes strong, many teams will consider him the top quarterback prospect in this group, and most already know that he has the most upside.

The Steelers brass has clearly expressed interest in him early, and he’s a player who will certainly be on their radar (although it’s looking like he might be a guy they would have to trade up for).
