Steelers can target Hill

The best pending free agent for the Steelers to target is one the Bengals added this past offseason. B.J. Hill was a middling reserve lineman before becoming a part of the trade that sent Billy Price to the Giants. While the Giants got some good play out of Price, Hill exploded onto the scene and was an impactful defender from the start of the season.

He continued to serve as a quality run-stopper while being rotated in, but as his playing time increased as injuries mounted and suddenly, he was playing like an elite tackle. He racked up 5.5 sacks in the process and really put his name on the map. Now he is set to enter free agency coming off easily his best season as a professional.

For the Steelers, Hill would be a great fit to play at nose tackle. His play is akin to Javon Hargrave, as both are good run defenders but can stay on the field as pass rushers. If the team moves on from Tyson Alualu, Hill would be an ideal long-term replacement. His play justifies a new deal this offseason. He would be a quality addition to this defense.

The Steelers will be looking for players to add to this roster this offseason, and it makes sense to target players off the two best teams in the league. Any of these five would be great free agency additions to a roster filled with holes. Keep an eye on these names as the Steelers prepare their roster for free agency.
