Zion Johnson, OL, Boston College

Zion Johnson is a big force for the interior position that he plays. He had the best week at the Senior Bowl and was even voted as the MVP at the end of the week. He dominated his competition and was able to show some flexibility as well.

During his week down in Mobile, he was able to show his natural position at guard but also flex to the center spot as well. He has not logged many snaps at center but showing scouts that he could always give you a chance there makes things interesting. One of the best things a rookie can do entering the league is play multiple spots across the offensive line and this prospect can play any position in between the tackles.

The Steelers need a guard or center depending on what they decide to do with Kendrick Green moving forward. The thought process of selecting Johnson with the 20th overall pick would be a lock for a solid guard for years to come. He could also come in and challenge Green for the starting center spot and see which will play guard from there.

The black and gold desperately need help across the offensive line and this player’s unique traits and flexibility will interest the club. They need to find options and this lineman would give them different looks. He is a dominant force in the middle of the trenches that would boost this team into a better direction upfront.
