Steelers could target Kenyon Green

If the Steelers are willing to go with a position other than quarterback in the first round this year (and they should be), Kenyon Green has a chance to be the best player available when Pittsburgh is on the clock and he fills a massive position of need.

Green played all across Texas A&M’s offensive line during this three-year college career, but when he settled in at guard, he was outstanding. Pittsburgh will love the fact that Green is just 20 years old and he was a former five-star recruit.

Despite his youth, the Steelers could plug him into their offensive line and he could instantly become the best player on an otherwise lackluster unit. The only real question mark here is whether or not Green will be at the top of the list, as he is from a school that is outside of Pittsburgh’s typical scouting region.

This should be no excuse to pass up a sure-fire 10-year starter on the offensive line with Pro Bowl upside. If the Steelers decide to wait until 2023 to get their quarterback, Green should be high on their NFL Draft radar at pick 20.
