4th: Baker Mayfield, Browns

I will give Baker Mayfield credit where it is due, as he is in the act of doing something that we all thought was impossible: he is holding the Cleveland Browns back.

That’s right, Mayfield’s subpar QB play is the only thing keeping Cleveland’s otherwise solid offensive regime from making some serious noise in the AFC next season. Some blamed veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. for a share of the shortcomings, but a recent touchdown catch in Super Bowl LVI begs to differ on his behalf.

Not only that but it could also be argued that whatever window Mayfield had to truly make an impact on the league has already shut, as he has both blown his sole playoff appearance and failed to break his nasty interception habit.

Is Baker Mayfield some terrible quarterback who will never have another chance to make a run in the NFL? No. But is he the worst QB in the AFC North until further notice? Yes.
