The NFL Combine included some impressive wide receiver performances. Here are three receivers the Steelers are sure to love in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Wide receiver is a position that has frequently been mocked to the Steelers in the later rounds this offseason. While I’ve only seen a few mocks that have included Pittsburgh selecting a receiver in the first round, perhaps Kevin Colbert could consider one on day two of the NFL Draft.

This would certainly fall into place with trends we have seen as Pittsburgh selected a receiver in the second round in 2017, 2018, and 2020. Two of these receivers — JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Washington — seem likely to be gone after they hit free agency soon.

The Steelers do have many needs to fill this offseason, but wide receiver has always been a position they like to address through the NFL Draft. After some spectacular performances at the 2022 NFL Combine, here are three receivers Pittsburgh is sure to fall in love with.

Steelers will love Skyy Moore

Skyy Moore seemed to be a fan favorite even before entering the NFL Combine. NFL Draft analysts loved his tape but were unsure of how he would measure in and what sort of athlete he would be. Needless to say, he improved his draft stock in Indianapolis.

Moore measured in at 5’10” and 195 pounds with 31” arms and massive 10 1/4” hands. This was his first big win of the Combine. However, he continued to impress talent evaluators as he went through drills. In addition to running a 4.41 40-yard dash, Moore looked silky-smooth running routes and catching the football.

The Steelers are no strangers to drafting players from the MAC conference, and the Western Michigan product is the type of shifty receiver they usually look for. There will be players at other positions they like on day two, but Moore makes a ton of sense if he makes it back to their second-round pick.
