Steelers could trade with Vikings

Staying in the NFC North and for a similar style of a deal, the Vikings are also in need of another receiver. While they have two talented options in Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson, they could use a more dependable upgrade to K.J. Osborn. Considering Thielen’s track record with injury as well, having a capable third option makes a lot of sense.

Like the Lions, this deal includes a third-round pick. However, with it being a dozen or so picks further back, the Steelers ask for a little bit more. In exchange, they get safety Josh Metellus, a player they were extremely high on in the draft a few seasons ago, and a guy that can play strong safety. With Terrell Edmunds potentially leaving this offseason, getting a potential option at strong safety as an add-on in a trade would be a plus.

Better yet, both Thielen and Jefferson are model players off the field. Claypool could hook up with them and continue to mature off the field, something that he struggled with this past season. The Steelers get a potential (I use that term loosely) safety option and a valuable pick while the Vikings get a boost to their receiving room. It’s a win for both teams.
