Steelers could trade with Packers
Back to the NFC North, the Packers have one of the more interesting off-seasons set up. While they were a favorite to compete in the Super Bowl all season, a quick exit now has the team’s future in shambles. Add in the uncertainty of Aaron Rogers and the poor cap space situation this team is in and moves will have to be made to keep this team competitive.
No matter what Rodgers is doing, finding a capable receiver, especially with the potential of Devante Adams leaving, has to be a priority. Luckily, the Packers have a slew of veterans that could be delt in order for the team to clear up cap space. Adrian Amos would be one of the more appealing names for the Steelers, as he would be a comfortable starter at strong safety and an arguable upgrade over Edmunds.
The Steelers have the cap space to absorb his eight-million-dollar cap hit given their surplus of cap space this offseason. As well, the team could easily extend him and lower that cap hit while keeping him long-term. The Packers get an extra receiver and some cap relief while Pittsburgh gets an upgrade at strong safety. This deal makes a lot of sense from both sides.
