Steelers will attend Michigan Pro Day on March 18th

The Michigan Wolverines don’t have nearly as many draft-eligible players this year as Georgia, but that doesn’t mean that Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert won’t once again show up at their doorstep on March 18th for their Pro Day.

Michigan is a school that Pittsburgh’s brass almost always attends in the offseason for Pro Day workouts, and they clearly have a connection with this school. Back in 2019, Colbert was willing to trade into the top-10 for Michigan linebacker, Devin Bush, and they have expressed interest in many Wolverines over the years.

This year, Michigan has two first-round edge defender prospects in Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo — the latter could be a low-key candidate for the Steelers at pick 20 if they decide to go BPA (best player available). Michigan also has a projected late-first-round safety in Daxton Hill as well as several offensive players who will go on day three of the 2022 NFL Draft.

In addition, the only other scheduling conflicts on March 18th are with Coastal Carolina and South Carolina. I just can’t see the Steelers choosing one of these schools over Michigan. I expect Tomlin and Colbert to be here.
