Steelers will attend Pittsburgh Pro Day on March 21st

There are two clear and obvious reasons why the Pittsburgh Steelers can, should, and will be in attendance for Pitt’s Pro Day on March 21st. The first is that they literally don’t have to travel. The second is that they will use this as one last opportunity to get a close look at quarterback Kenny Pickett.

Aside from maybe just Liberty’s Malik Willis, no player has been mocked to the Steelers more than Pickett this offseason, and most draft analysts see this as an easy fit. Pickett isn’t without his question marks, as he will be a 24-year-old rookie with some of the smallest hands we have ever seen at the quarterback position in the NFL.

At the end of the day, this won’t be enough to drop Pickett out of the first round, and the Steelers are going to be prepared for a scenario in which he falls to pick 20. The Panthers have a few late-round players who could be worthy of a draft selection this year, but Pickett is the reason why teams will show up.

Pitt’s Pro Day is also the biggest on March 21st, so any QB-needy team will be traveling to the Steel City on this day to see Kenny Pickett in action.
