Steelers will attend Alabama Pro Day on March 30th

This one is almost as easy to call as the Georgia Pro Day. Alabama is still one of the very best college football programs in the nation with talent overflowing at nearly every position. The top prospect from the Crimson Tide will be long gone in OT Evan Neal and they aren’t likely to target a wide receiver in the first round in Jameson Williams; however, there are many other players the Steelers could pursue on days two and three.

One of those players is linebacker Christian Harris — a well-rounded player who recently ran a blazing 4.44 a the NFL Combine. In addition, defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis could be a fit early on day two if Stephon Tuitt doesn’t plan to return, and there are plenty of late-round prospects they can scope out.

Alabama football players have had an excellent track record in the NFL, and I think it would be a mistake on Tomlin and Colbert’s part not to be there. I expect them to be on hand for this.
