4 players that should be dropping down Steelers draft board

Steelers should drop Pickett
Kenny Pickett had one of the most mixed combine performances ever in recent years. Despite being measured in as one of the more typically sized quarterbacks and testing well as an athlete, all of that was overshadowed by Pickett’s hand size, which came in well below nine inches (seen as the benchmark for a good quarterback). If Pickett does well as a pro, he will be one of the first with hands as small as his.
What does this mean for the Steelers? Well, for starters, there is a better, albeit slightly, chance that Pickett falls to pick 20. Teams may opt for the potential ridden Malik Willis or the more stereotypical option in Sam Howell. If that’s the case, picking him at 20 wouldn’t be the end of the world.
That said, given how overvalued quarterbacks are, teams will likely still be targeting him in the top ten. If the Steelers give up significant resources to move up and take a quarterback with that small of hands, it would be a mistake. He shouldn’t be off their board entirely but planning to go elsewhere and not move up for Pickett at this point is a must.
While the Steelers draft board is far from set, taking some of the data compiled at the combine would be a wise move right now. While some players saw their stock shoot up, these players should see theirs fall. While not all of them have to be cut from the board entirely, they should be moved down a few options as the offseason continues to roll on.
